David is Managing Director in ComStock Advisors’ Washington, D.C. office and has approximately 15 years of specialized experience in valuing ESOP interests, as well as business enterprises, fractional business interests, intangible assets, limited liability company interests, and general and limited partnership interests. He has performed valuations in various areas of business valuation including ESOP transaction, administration and compliance, various areas of litigation support, intangible assets and intellectual property, financial reporting, option and warrant valuation, estate and gift tax, buy-sell agreements, mergers and acquisitions, goodwill impairment testing, professional practice valuations, and private debt and equity placements.
David’s portfolio is extensive, having serviced a variety of client industries including automobile retail, banking, business services, construction and contracting, consumer products, distribution, education, engineering, government contracting, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, professional practices, recycling, real estate development, telecommunications, transportation and trucking, and specialty finance.
Prior to joining ComStock Advisors, David was a Director in Ellin & Tucker’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group and a Manager at Willamette Management Associates.
David holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). He is a past president of the ASA’s Washington, D.C. Metro Area Chapter, a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), and the ESOP Association.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Management from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in Finance from Lehigh University.
